MELISSA KUTTAS, BSc/OT
Aging Life Care Professional
Melissa comes to us from Toronto, Canada, where she has worked in health care for 20+ years. Her experience started with working for an organization that helped people living with Development Disabilities thrive in the community. She then moved on to work on a cognitive support unit in a hospital, supporting those with Alzheimer’s and other Dementias. She was part of a team who educated staff on best practices to manage difficult behaviors. After these experiences, Melissa decided to return to school, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy.
As an OT, Melissa worked in the auto insurance industry and in community home care. She gained valuable skills in physical medicine and rehabilitation, mental health, oncology and palliative care.
Prior to joining Care Resources she worked for almost 15 years as a Home Care Case Manager, linking people to the appropriate care and resources during their Cancer journey; from diagnosis up until end of life.
Melissa is an Advanced Professional member of the Aging Life Care Association® and holds the CMC certification from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers (NACCM).

Melissa lives with her husband, 2 teenage sons, their dog and 2 cats. She is an avid animal lover, enjoys Pilates and Yoga and loves nature, the beach and going for walks. When she and her husband are not running their sons to kickboxing or basketball they enjoy trying new restaurants and exploring different neighborhoods and farmers markets. Since the move to Florida Melissa has taken an interest in kayaking and standup paddle boarding and looks forward to exploring all that Florida has to offer.
