HEIDI ELPERS, BSW

Aging Life Care Professional
Since graduating from USF in 2004 with a degree in Social Work, Heidi accrued her experience in counseling young adults and families in crisis. She swiftly moved into the field of geriatrics after working under the direction of an elder law attorney to build a care management service. 

S​he joined Care Resources in 2001 and has been a member of the Aging Life Care Association® ever since.

From 2007 – 2022, she was certified as a CMC through the National Academy of Certified Care Managers (NACCM). Heidi provides peace of mind to her clients and their families among a qualified team of Aging Life Care™ Professionals. 
Implementing supportive resources and the interaction with her clients and their caregivers is what Heidi enjoys most. However sometimes challenging, the goal of improved living for our clients is heartwarming.

Heidi’s professional credentials include:
  • Bachelor Degree in Social Work (BSW) from the University of South Florida in Tampa 
  • Certified Care Manager (CMC) 2007 - 2022 through NACCM
  • Member of the Hernando Senior Services Network 
  • Member of the Community Resource Council of Hernando County 
  • Member of ALCA, the Aging Life Care Association
Heidi’s family includes her husband Doug, their two children Aurora and Dallis, and their cat Princess Mia. Heidi volunteers as the Vice President of Chapter 13 LPA, Little People of America, a nonprofit organization that provides support and information to people of short stature and their families; and President of W.E.S.T., Women Eagerly Serving Together, a woman’s fellowship group at her church since 1997.
